Union Picnic tradition proves plenty of fun
At the close of each year, the team at Stringer Clark looks forward to celebrating another year of great work with colleagues and good friends at the annual Union Picnic Day and today’s celebration did not disappoint!
Our team gathered at the early hours from Warrnambool and the new venue at the Southwest Drag Strip in Portland added to enthusiasm and excitement of the day.
The Construction Industry Picnic Day is part of a fine longstanding tradition whereby friends of the union gather for a picnic in various venues across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia to celebrate the year’s achievements.
Photos, Fairies and Superheroes were the business today
Stringer Clark enjoyed providing entertainment for hundreds of families, including the wonderful face painter who helped transform the kids into their favourite superhero or fairy.
Our photo booth was also a terrific success and will provide some lifelong memories for visitors to the picnic.
Thank you to our union friends
There was a great range of fun activities on offer for workers and their families.
A big thank you to Marg and the committee from the Southwest Trades and Labour Council for doing the heavy lifting to get the day organized and to ensure a wonderful time was had by all.
