Born in Switzerland, Madlaina is a lawyer who moved to Australia where she settled in Sydney. Now with a young family, she and her partner decided to sell their house, buy a bus, and set off around Australia to find the ideal place in which to raise their three children.

Six years ago, they drove into Portland and fell in love with the area.

Originally completing a law degree in Switzerland, Madlaina went back to study law in Sydney where she gained a Master of Laws from University of Sydney, a Diploma in Law from the NSW Legal Profession Admission Board and completed the mandatory Practical Legal Training at the College of Law NSW. Now very much at home in the Stringer Clark Portland office, she handles mainly property matters, conveyancing, wills and probate. This work includes business leases, buying and selling small businesses, and residential and commercial conveyancing.

When not occupied by the law or her family, Madlaina is a fine soprano, having been trained in classical music while growing up in Switzerland. She puts her vocal talents to good use as a proud member of the Portland Community Rockers choir which has recently started performing in community centres as well as touring local nursing homes.
