St. Patrick’s College Ballarat 1972 – 1973 – A Call For Witnesses

Ryan Carlisle Thomas is working on behalf of a plaintiff in an institutional abuse civil proceeding in the Supreme Court of Victoria. He alleges he is a survivor of child abuse by three former Christian Brothers:

Brother Edward Vernon Dowlan

Brother Bernard Ring

Brother John Barr

Each of the three men were appointed to St Patrick’s College Ballarat between 1972 and 1973 as teachers and/or dormitory masters. All three have had allegations made against them published by the Royal Commission.

We are seeking witnesses who either worked at or attended the school, or had children/siblings at the school around this period, and may have any information regarding these individuals.
